Hey!

The latest LOTV Facebook Challenge is to feature a creature on your card. I've just started making some Christmas cards (eek!) so I thought I'd enter this cute chappie...

I coloured bunny with Distress Markers and added some white gel pen for falling snow. I distressed all the papers with a distressing tool and then painted some Gesso on. I made the Poinsettia using a Magnolia die and added some gold beads in the centre. The postmark stamp is of course also LOTV. Finally added a Craftwork Cards sentiment.

MFT Sketch Challenge- Warm and Fuzzy Friends

Hey everyone! Here in the UK, we're lucky enough to be enjoying some scorching weather which makes a nice change!!

Last week I was lucky enough to (randomly) win the MFT Sketch Challenge- the first one I'd ever entered! Cool eh? As I'd already coloured up some critters I thought I'd enter this week's challenge as well...

I used the very cute Warm and Fuzzy Friends and coloured them with copics and cut out using the matching dies. I created the window using the MFT Stitched Arch Stax- perfect for this sketch. Papers are by Carta Bella. I stuck the trees and tent straight on the background paper and then adhered the fox, bear and fire on the raised 3D panel.

Stamping Bella Tiny Townie Garden Girl Waterlily

Hey everyone!
Hope you're all well and getting plenty of crafting time.

Today I have a gorgeous Garden Girl to share with you, it's Waterlily...

Isn't she just the cutest? I love her hat! I coloured her with Distress Ink markers. I really tried to give some depth of colour using yellows, greens and purples. Papers are by Kaisercraft- just distressed and then I added some cheesecloth to soften and make a focal point of the image. The sentiment is by Purple Onion Designs stamped with PTI Autumn Rose to match the cardstock.

Love these little raindrops- think they're perfect for this image!

Thought I'd enter this into Bellarific Friday this week which is ANYTHING GOES!

MFT Card Challenge- I Kinda Like You

Hi ya.

Now I'm not on any DTs, I thought I'd challenge myself to enter some sketches/challenges so today I have a really quick teeny shaker card to show you for this week's MFT Card Sketch Challenge- 339. Sometimes I love just making these teeny cards- so cute!

I used MFT's Snuggle Bunnies and matching dies coloured with copics. The paper is MFT Sweet Celebration. The frame is Stitched Square Frames. The sentiment is cut out using Interactive Oval Word Window and I snipped off the end.

I thought I'd also enter this into the Simon Says Stamp Challenge- anything goes!

It looks super cute when shaken!

Purple Onion Designs- Wishing

Hey everyone! Hope you're all well.

Today I'm back with some more Distress Ink colouring using the adorable Wishing by Purple Onion Designs...

I watercolored using Distress Inks. This is such a beautiful design that I just wanted very gentle colouring which is unusual for me but sometimes the image warrants it! The papers are by Tilda and I distressed them using my Tim Holtz tool. Main base of the card was cut using a large Go Kreate die for added interest. The sentiment is by LOTV.

Thought I'd enter some challenges...

Cutie Pie Challenge- All Creatures..

I'm back!!!!!!!!!!

Hey everyone! I'm back!
Thanks for sticking around whilst I was on my break, it's great to see you again!!

Sooooo, what's been going on @ Honey Bootique?!
Well, the truth is, life has been kicking me around a bit and I decided I needed a rethink and so it was with a VERY heavy heart I decided to step down from my Design Teams and have a break from all the deadlines. Pretty scary seeings as I've been on DTs since a couple of months after I started blogging like 10 years ago or something!

I have been SO upset about resigning from Stamping Bella- they are my fav stamping company and at times, I thought, are you mad??!! But I need it and that's that. Em, of course, has been so supportive- love ya, Em!

The break has refreshed my mojo and I'm definitely going to take some time to experiment so you'll be seeing me using lots of different stamp companies, different mediums, different techniques.... Sounds fun, right?!

So for my return I've decided to show you a card I made using Distress Inks- a totally new medium for me. Of course I had to return with a Stamping Bella design so here is the very beautiful Tiny Townie Garden Girl Poppy...

I coloured her with Distress Inks- I used quite a few colours for the dress- yellows and oranges, as well as reds- I hope you can see the subtle colour changes. As I said Distress Inks are totally new to me so I am still learning and have a lot to learn. I love the really delicate, blended Distress Ink designs that I see a lot of around but I don't really do pale- I gotta have colour!! So I think this will probably more be my style with a more traditional watercolour feel to it but who knows? I guess my style is still developing. Let me know if you wanna know what inks I've used for a particular project as I've actually started writing them down now!!

Hopefully you can see a bit more of the subtle colour changes here.

Anyhoo, it's fab to be back! See you all soon! xxx
